Tamar grow revenue from social media by 37% YOY

Background

Wiggle is the UK's #1 online cycle shop.  However, the pure play online sports retailer is also well known for their comprehensive range of running, swimming and triathlon gear as well as having a specialised women's section on-site. For the last 4 years running they have won 220 Triathlon magazine's 'Online Retailer of the Year' award.  

Tamar was retained to optimise their presences on major social media platforms, build brand awareness, and to increase revenue coming through social media channels.

Approach

Tamar structured an efficient, accountable and scalable social media program, tailored to Wiggle that advances both brand building and commercial goals.  

The agency defined, trained and are currently managing project teams to optimise the brand's existing social presences and have established a solid foundation of support to elevate their past activity.

Social media content management and analytics tools were also set-up to effectively measure the overall impact of social activity.

Results

Wiggle has seen a significant upturn in ecommerce revenue directly attributable to activities in social media channels. In the 1st month of the campaign YOY revenue from social media channels was up 37% on the prior year period.
